BADARPUR, Oct 24: Although 12-year-old Abhigyan Das of Duliajan Assam won hearts of many by performing brilliantly in the “Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs” competition, his untimely elimination from the competition is being despised by his parents. While talking to this correspondent of The Sentinel, Abhigyan’s father Subrata Das alleged that his son was eliminated from the show, which is under way, by foul means.
Das said that although his other competitors had gone to the “yellow zone” many times, yet they were not eliminated. He also added that Zee TV indulged in unfair means in Abhigyan’s elimination by forcing him to make vote appeals in Hindi and not in Assamese or in his mother tongue. Meanwhile, the All Assam Students’ Union along with different organizations vehemently protested against Zee TV’s indifference. THE SENTINEL
