GUWAHATI, Oct 3: The Jeevan Darshan Mela, a part of the ‘Global Festival for Receiving God’s Powers and Blessings’ organized by the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya at Chandmari in Guwahati has so far succeeded in yielding positive results by bringing hope and awakening to a number of people, especially youths suffering from different kind of addictions such as drugs, alcohol, cigarettes etc.
The four-day Jeevan Darshan Mela which started on October 1 and will conclude on October 4 has been organized with the objective of transforming the world into a better place to live in. The highlights of the mela are stalls based on themes of holistic health, youth awakening, disaster management, women empowerment, drug re-addiction, ancient Indian Rajyoga and realization of God.
The mela has so far succeeded in yielding positive results with huge number of people thronging the stalls. Interestingly, two youth addicted to drugs were greatly benefited as they pledged to give up on their addiction and discarded the drugs and syringes in their possession at the drop-box installed at the venue. On the other hand, a 25-year-old youth also decided to quit drinking alcohol and discarded a liquor bottle in the drop-box. Numerous other people addicted to pan masalas and other harmful products discarded the sachets and zarda packets in their possession
The Global Festival has been organized nationwide in 16 cities to create awakening among people. The closing ceremony of the festival will be held tomorrow at the Assam Engineering Institute playground at Chandmari with Meghalaya Governor RS Mooshahary as the chief guest .
Apart from divine lectures and words of wisdom by senior Rajyoga teachers, a mass meditation will be conducted by 108 Rajyogi Brahma Kumaris. There will also be soul elevating cultural performances like a flute recital by 51 artistes lead by renowned flautist Deepak Sarma, Bhakti Bhavana group dance in xattriya form by Nrittyacharya Padmashree Jatin Goswami and the spectacular Komal Sparsh Nritya with 151 pots on the head by Kumari Priya Patni from Bhilwara in Rajasthan.
