SILCHAR, Sept 13: Acting on a tip-off, the Silchar police led by DSP KK Gupta today nabbed two drug peddlers and seized huge quantity of heroin from their possession in Silchar today. The two arrested were identified as Shah Alom Majumdar (32) and Zia-ul Haque Laskar (28) both from Sonai area. Police recovered 5,300 gram heroine from their Maruti 800 car this morning from the Hospital Road. The miscreants had reportedly confessed that they were taking the consignment to Meghalaya.
