Programme on global warming and career counselling held

SHILLONG, Aug 4: The Saiden Women Association organized a one-day awareness programme on Global Warming and Career Counselling at Saiden Community Hall, Nongpoh in Ri-Bhoi district recently. Speaking at the programme, Ri-Bhoi district Deputy Commissioner L Diengdoh said, "Students are the future generation who will shoulder the responsibility of the society.If we know how to cultivate and improve what we have, we will surely reap the benefits." Diengdoh urged every individual to be aware of environmental issues and take measures to preserve the environment.The awareness programme was divided into two sessions, the first session was on Global Warming and the second part on Career Counselling. Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations P Marbaniang spoke on both the topics. The programme was attended by teachers and students of Saiden Secondary School and members of Saiden Women Organization. THE SENTINEL
