AFWWA declamation contest held

SHILLONG, Aug 4: The Eastern Air Command (EAC) organized a regional-level Air Force declamation contest which was held at Meghalaya Hall, headquarters of EAC yesterday. About 29 children of the Air Force Wives’ Welfare Association (AFWWA) members, studying in Class IX to XII from the entire EAC region, participated in the contest. AFWWA (regional) president Veena Bhan gave away the trophies and certificates to Akansha Shukla and Sonali Singh were adjudged first and second respectively in English declamation contest, while Santosh Pasi and Mansi Sahani were adjudged first and second respectively in Hindi declamation contest.
