Muslim body urges schools to sing National Anthem

NAGAON, Aug 27: With the view to imparting knowledge on patriotism to school students, the Asom Jatiyatabadi Muslim Yuva Parsishad (AJMYP) has urged schools, particularly the madrassas, to sing the National Anthem in their schools daily. The step was taken after the school students failed to sing the National Anthem during the flag hoisting ceremony on the Independence Day.
Asom Astitya Raksha Sangrami Mancha general secretary R Borkakoti lauded the efforts of the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Parishad and said that all the schools should follow this noble step. Sources said AJMYP has also provided copies of the National Anthem to ensure that the students actually learn and practice it. THE SENTINEL
