KOKRAJHAR, Aug 23: Expressing displeasure over the ongoing financial dispute of Rs 500 crore special BTC package, the chief of BTC Hagrama Mohilary today said that it wanted direct funding from Centre for developmental activities of the region. He made clear that there was no dispute of receiving Rs 500 crore.
In an interaction with the mediapersons Mohilary said that, the Council did not receive Rs 750 crore as claimed by the Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh but the actual amount received by the BTC is Rs 325 crore only. He said, the charge of Narzary who always alleged of only 20 per cent work done in BTC has brought confusion among the masses and this confusion will come to an end and when the CBI starts inquiry in to the developmental activities in the region.
