Meet generates awareness on RTI

SIPAJHAR, July 14 – In a bid to generate awareness among the rural public about the Right to Information Act , 2005 and women’s rights, an awareness meet was organised under the auspices of the Society for Cultural Health, Education, Economic, Technical and Social Development (SCHEETS), an NGO, in co-operation with Social Action for Appropriate Transformation and Advancement in Rural Areas (SATRA) recently.

Speaking on the occasion as resource person, Jatindra Mohan Nath discussed the various aspects of the Act, National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) and legal provisions against women atrocities. Moni Bora and Prasanta Saharia, co-ordinator of SATKA also attended the meet. Bulen Kalita explained the objective of the meet which was attended by the large number of women of the locality.
