SHILLONG, July 10 – The Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Shillong, has invited youths of Meghalaya to avail financial assistance under the scheme Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme under the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, to set up self-employment ventures. The subsidy of the said scheme ranging from 25 per cent in urban areas and 35 per cent in rural areas will be provided on the project cost of the unit, with finance upto Rs 25 lakh for manufacturing sector and Rs 10 lakh for service sector.
