MET-2009/PAM-CAT-2009 for MBA/MCA Courses in Punjab
State level entrance test (MET-2009/PAM-CAT-2009) for admission to MBA/MCA Courses for session 2009-2010 in the Departments/Institutes/Colleges affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, Punjabi University (PU), Patiala and Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar will be held on 19.07.2009 (Sunday) as per details given in the Prospectus.
Eligibility Conditions for MBA
(i) GNDU, Amritsar: Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with not less than 50% marks
(ii) Punjabi University, Patiala: Minimum 50% marks in recognized Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree examination (45% marks for SC/ST and PH with at least 40% disability)
(iii) PTU, Jalandhar: Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities
Eligibility conditions for MCA
(i) GNDU, Amritsar: BBA/B.Com/B.Com (Prof.)/B.Sc (Hons.) Economics or Graduate in any stream with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/ Computer Application/IT/Computer Maintenance/Quantitative Techniques as one of the elective subjects with 50% marks in aggregate or any equivalent degree thereto. Or Bachelor’s degree in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as an elective subject at +2 level
(ii) PU, Patiala: Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3)/BCA in any discipline of the statutory University with 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST and PH with at least 40% disability). The candidates must have passed the senior secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination or higher degree examination with Mathematics/Statistic/Business Mathematics/Business Statistics/ Quantitative Techniques or equivalent as compulsory/optional/additional subject or paper.
(iii) PTU, Jalandhar: Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration with Mathematics/Statistics/Business Mathematics/ Business statistics/Quantitative Techniques as Compulsory/Optional/ Additional Paper as one of the subjects either at 10+2 or at graduation level.
Prospectus will be available w.e.f. 13.06.2009 either by hand/post or can be downloaded from website as per details below
a. By hand: On cash payment of Rs. 600/- from the Punjabi University Enquiry Centre and from the Selected Branches of State Bank of Patiala located at Amrtisar (Mukherjee Marg), Bathinda (MSC), Chandigarh (Sector 22-B), Gurdaspur (Main), Hoshiarpur (Kanak Mandi), Jalandhar (Shastri Market), Ludhiana (Saban Bazar) and Moga (Civil Lines)
b. By Post: The request for prospectus by post should be made to In-charge, Enquiry and Information Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala-147002 along with a Bank Draft of Rs. 660/- in favour of Register, Punjabi University, Patiala payable at Patiala and a self addressed envelope of 12” x 10” size. Candidate must write his/her name, telephone number and address at the back of the Bank Draft.
c. University Website: Prospectus along with relevant forms can also be downloaded from University Website: www.punjabiuniversity.ac.in and should be accompanied by a bank draft of Rs. 1600/- (Rs. 1350/- in the case of SC/ST and PH) in favour of Registrar, Punjabi University, Patiala payable at Patiala
