NHRC issues notice to Chief Secretary, Karnataka on violence against Christians

New Delhi October 03, 2008The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the Chief Secretary, Karnataka and has sought a report on the alleged violence against the Christians and their institutions in Mangalore and surrounding areas. The notice has been issued on a complaint filed by an NGO, Prashant, a Centre for Human Rights Justice and Peace, Ahmedabad. The complainant has alleged that the local administration seemed to be hand in glove with the perpetrators of violence against the Christian community. source: http://nhrc.nic.in/
