Proper implementation of Kalain projects urged

From Our Correspondent SILCHAR, July 20 – Among the 15 development blocks in Cachar district, the Kalain development area is considered as the most irregular in connection with various projects. This allegation was made by the Indian Democratic Youth Federation (IDYF) of Katigorah Regional Committee recently.The IDYF submitted a memorandum to the authority containing 11 demands which are pending in the development block. Before giving the memorandum, the members of the federation gathered in front of the BDO office for two hours. After discussion with BDO Narayan Das, the IDYF handed over the memorandum.In the memorandum, it was stated that there should be immediate implementation and proper distribution of job cards under NREGS projects, providing facility to the needy people, non-interference of political leaders in development work, provision of BPL cards, six litres kerosene to the poor people, checking inflation, etc.Jitendra Ashit Chutia will attend an intensive workshop with industry expert Mia Bays presenting a guide to the current distribution landscape for any producer, writer, director or other film professional at London Film School at a two-day course on Sales, Marketing and Distribution scheduled on July 21-23.
