Tripura Police Service Grade-II Written Test Pattern and Syllabus
Syllabus for Examination and other Rules and Regulations
The examination shall be of 2(two) parts- Written examination and Personality Test .The Written Examination and Personality Test will carry 800 marks and 100 marks respectively.
Compulsory Papers:
A) English Essay and PrĂ©cis’ Writing
100
3 (three) hours.
B) English Composition
100
3 (three) hours
C) i. Bengali Composition and Translation
or
ii. Alternative English
100
3 (three) hours
D) General Knowledge and Current Affairs
100
3 (three) hours
E) The Constitution of India and Planning in India
100
3 (three) hours
ii.Optional Papers.
3(three) optional papers carrying 100 marks each [to be selected from the list mentioned at Para 7(b) below].
3X 100
3 hours for each paper.
‘In no circumstances optional papers can be changed after submission of the application’
(b) List of Optional Papers : Paper –I and paper-II in each of the following subjects :
i. Bengali. ii. English. iii. Sanskrit. iv. Political Science. v. Economics. vi. Philosophy. vii. History. viii. Education. ix. Commerce. x. Mathematics. xi. Physics. xii. Chemistry. xiii. Botany . xiv. Zoology. xv. Physiology. xvi. Psychology. xvii. Statistics xviii. Geography. xix. Agriculture. xx. Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science. xxi. Civil Engineering. xxii. Mechanical Engineering. xxiii. Electrical Engineering. xxiv. Law. xxv. Sociology
(c) For details regarding examination, subjects, syllabus (modified & upgraded), papers, marks, personality test etc. the candidates are advised to go through the Tripura Civil Service / Tripura Police Service Grade-II(Appointment by Competitive Examination) Regulations(Part-II) with detailed syllabus very carefully. This will be available in the Reception Counter of the office of the TPSC, Akhaura Road, Agartala on payment of Rs.50/- on any working day between 10-30 AM and 01-30 PM and may also be downloaded from the TPSC website.
