Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) Recruitment of Scientific Officer E, Scientific Officer D, Technical Officer D, Technical Officer C, Scientific Assistant B, Category I, II Trainees and Technician B.
HOW TO APPLY
1. The application should be submitted in the proforma given in the Advertisement, preferably typewritten on thick A4 Paper only [size 34CMs x 22CMs].
2. The Application and the outer cover should be superscribed as APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF __________________________ CATEGORY No.: _________________AGAINST THE ADVERTISEMENT No. 2/2010
3. A recent passport size photograph should be pasted on the space provided on the right hand top corner of the application and another to be pasted on the admit card.
4. The application for the posts of Scientific Officer / Engineers Grade “E” / “D” & Technical Officer / Engineers Grade “D” / “C” should be accompanied by a Non refundable crossed Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Pay & Accounts Officer, IGCAR, Kalpakkam for a sum of Rs.50/- payable in SBI Bank/Canara Bank, Kalpakkam. Women candidates are exempted from payment of fees. SC/ST candidates, Disabled Defence personnel and dependents of Defence Personnel killed in action and Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the above fee. For the posts of Scientific Assistant “B”, Category – I Trainees, Technician “B” and Category – II Trainees Postal Order / Demand Draft is not required.
5. Application should accompany the attested copies of certificates of
[a] Educational and Technical Qualifications.
[b] All mark sheets of the qualifying Examination for all the years.
[c] Proof of date of birth.
[d] Certificates issued by the Competent Authorities regarding their claim that they belong to SC / ST / OBC / Physically Handicapped / Ex-Servicemen.
[e] Land loser Certificate and copy of award of Compensation, in case any land to D.A.E. Projects have been given by the Candidate or his/her Parents.
[f] Experience certificate specifically stating the kind of work done.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
Higher percentage of marks in the qualifying exam than what is prescribed in the advertisement for a particular post could be adopted while screening if number of applications received is large vis-à-vis the number of posts advertised.
Selection is through personal interview. Depending on the number of applications screened in, written examination also could be conducted in which case only those who qualify in written examination will be called for personal interview.
For the post of Technicians, Trade Test will be conducted for selection. A photo admit card will be sent by post of each eligible applicant indicating his / her roll number, time, date and Centre for Written Test.
The interview call letter will be sent to only those candidates who qualify for appearing in interview based on Written Test performance. The interviews will be conducted at IGCAR, Kalpakkam
