The Ramfalbil Anchalik Committee of the ABSU

KOKRAJHAR, Jan 5: The Ramfalbil Anchalik Committee of the ABSU today organized an intellectual meet on the occasion of its 41st annual convention at Ramfalbil Higher Secondary School.

The ABSU invited all the intellectuals of the locality, students and the former leaders and workers of the Anchalik Committee of the ABSU to find out a way to restore peaceful co-existence of all sections of people and perfect education for the students.

The topic of the intellectuals meet was “The role of intellectuals and the guardians for restoration of peace and educational uplift”. The meet was taken part by the guardians and local intellectuals. It was chaired by the retired Principal of Kokrajhar College Surath Narzary.

The meet concerned over the non-availability of influential leaders to lead the society towards the desired aim.
Meanwhile, the 41st annual convention of the Ramfalbil Anchalik Committee of the ABSU and the 54th annual convention of the Primary Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) entered the second day today. The Kokrajhar district committee of the ABSU will also observe its 41st annual convention with a two-day programme on January 6 and 7.

At today’s programme, president of the Ramfalbil Anchalik Committee of the ABSU Pwjakhang Mashahary hoisted the organizational flag while president of the Primary Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) Baren Boro unfurled the flag of the BSS.

RAC-ABSU adviser Bijit Narzary paid floral tribute to the martyrs of the ABSU while former president of Ramfalbil Primary BSS and former Principal of Ramfalbil Higher Secondary School Tarun Narzary paid tribute to the martyrs of the BSS who laid their lives for the cause of the Bodo language and literature.

Other programmes of the day included competitions of games, literature and culture. The second sessions of the RAC-ABSU and the Ramfalbil Primary BSS was also held in the evening.

The delegates raised the revival of the demand for separate State of Bodoland which was suspended in 2004 after entering the BTC Accord. THE SENTINEL
