Asom bandh hits life in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR, Oct 14: Normal life was affected in Sivasagar district due to the 12-hour Asom bandh called by Sikshak Karmachari Aikya Mancha, a teacher’s organization. Most of the shops, business establishments and banks in Sivasagar remained closed during the bandh. Public transport was also affected, as all private transport vehicles remained off the road. However, no untoward incidents were reported during the bandh and the bandh passed off peacefully in the district. THE SENTINEL
