Rains may dampen NE Puja spirit

GUWAHATI, Sept 25 – It may not bode well for the Puja revelers of the NE region, as, the weather man has predicted likelihood of scattered rainfall activities over the NE region during the next three days. However, there is likelihood of improvement in the situation thereafter, says the weather man.
This development has been attributed to a cyclonic circulation that is lying over North West and adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal and extending up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level. Under the influence of this cyclonic circulation, a low-pressure area is likely to form during the next 48 hours over the West Central Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood, says the weather man.
The monsoon is likely to withdraw from some more parts of North West India during the next three to four days, says the weather man. ASSAM TRIBUNE
