Government committed towards quality education: Gautam Bora

NAGAON, Sept 10: Addressing an open meeting on the occasion of the six-day Golden Jubilee celebration programme of Anandaram Dhekial Phukan (ADP) College, which started from September 5 in Nagaon, Education Minister Gautam Bora said that at a time when other parts of the country are advancing with quality education based on science and technology, the students of Asom should also come forward in this sphere.

‘‘The present State Government has undertaken various ambitious schemes for to upgrade the entire education system and as such the student community should take advantage of such schemes to built their academic career,’’ said the Education Minister.

He also said the State Government will undertake a scheme under the National Council of Educational Research and Training for quality education in Asom so that the students of the State can compete in All India level exams. Meanwhile, the NCERT syllabus has been introduced in class IX and later on it would be introduced in class X as well, he said. The Minister stated that the Government is committed towards quality education for the greater welfare of the State. THE SENTINEL
