DIBRUGARH, Sept 25: As the festival fever catches on to people, the Police Department has taken up several steps to ensure that the Durga Puja passes off peacefully in the town. The department has posted police personnel at the eighty-five Durga Puja mandaps in Dibrugarh. The security system has been tightened to ensure that the festival passes off without any untoward incidents. Most of the puja pandals have CCTVs. The control rooms have been established at Amolapatty, Milannagar, Gabharu Pathar and Paltan Bazar to prevent immoral activities.
