Robotics Workshop at Chitkara University

Robotics Workshop at Chitkara University

A workshop for students of first year engineering was conducted by the School of Engineering and Technology, Chitkara University from 24th to 26th April, 2009. Total 104 students participated in this workshop and made the maximum by learning many of the intricacies of the Electronics as the subject.

Workshop contents were designed focusing on the art of building autonomous robots out of discrete electronic components. Building such controller-less robots proved to be an ideal way to explore the field of electronics and basics of autonomous robotics. Resource persons from M/S Thinklabs engaged these sessions and taught the students the tricks of the trade in this exciting field of engineering.

Speaking at an informal inaugural ceremony for the workshop, Pro VC of the University, Brig. (Dr.) R.S. Grewal requested students to make the maximum use of this kind of opportunity by having hands on experience of working on the things. Looking at the huge amount of interest shown by students in registering for this workshop and later actively participating in the same, Pro VC also promised students to conduct many such workshops in future.
