Durga Puja New Jersey Jersey City USA

Garden State Puja Committee was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1980. We are one of the earliest Asian Indian Socio-Cultural Organizations initiated in New Jersey.

The organization was formed by some enthusiastic and energetic Bengalees, then settled in and around Jersey City, New Jersey, to preserve and uphold the heritage of India, especially of Bengal. Some worthy pioneers of this committee are Dr. Suman Dass, Mr. Mono Ranjan Sen, Mr. Kamal Aditya, Mr. Ashok Rakshit and Mr. Pijush Chakraborty.

We earnestly endeavor to keep up the entity of Bengalee culture abroad and at the same time promote friendliness among other cultures. The main activities of GSPC are to celebrate religious, social and cultural events ... the biggest event being the Durga Puja celebrations. As organizers of the 'Jersey City Durga Puja' we foster a ghoroa environment where newcomers as well as old-timers can participate freely in all activities associated with our events.
