How it all started?
Poila Baisak Celebration gathering April 2007:A few bengali families residing in R.T.Nagar area decided to start celebrating durga puja in R.T.Nagar area from the year 2007. The idea just came out as a normal thought process. The biggest challenge was first to gather a dozen of like minded people and form an association. After that a series of meetings were conducted at various locations where fund raising strategy was discussed,venue selection and other planning activities was also undertaken. A core comittee of around 30 members was formed and each member contributed a membership fee to accumulate the initial funding expense for the Durga Puja 2007 celebrations. for details visit: http://rtnagardurgapuja.blogspot.com/
