Bengali Cultural Association of Arizona
Bengali Cultural Association of Arizona [BCAA] is a non-profit cultural organization of the bengalis in Phoenix and around the state of Arizona in USA. This community was established in 1998 and now has over a hundred members in this community. BCAA is open and welcomes anyone who would like to join the community or participate in the event are most welcome.
The Association mainly provides a focal point for Bengalis and helps to promote the rich Bengali culture in the state of Arizona. Our annual activities includes Cultural functions, Saraswati Puja, Durga Puja, Lakhsmi Puja and social get-togethers. We publish Bengali Magazine twice a year: one during Saraswati Puja and one during Durga Puja. Bangla school of Phoenix also motivates our new generation connecting them with our culture and language.
- To organize and celebrate Bengali social, cultural and spiritual events in Arizona.
- To promote appreciation and understanding of Bengali culture, language and traditions.
- To teach the children of the Bengali and international community, the Bengali language, culture and traditions.
- To co-operate with other diverse, cultural groups and regional organizations in promoting and sharing Indian culture and traditions.
- To start a newsletter which will act as a vehicle of sharing information and ideas amongst the members of the association.
