Pakistan releases Indian spy after 10 years

ISLAMABAD, July 7 (KUNA) -- Pakistan Monday released an Indian spy after ten years of captivity.
Ram Prakash was handed over to the Indian authorities at the Indo-Pak eastern Wagha border.
The 51-year-old Indian spy was arrested in 1998 from the bordering Sialkot city on the charges of spying and handed down a 10-year prison term by a special court.

He was freed from Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore on July 1 on the orders of the Interior Ministry after he completed his prison term.

However, he could not be repatriated as the Indian authorities refused to confirm his national identity, which delayed processing of his travel documents.
